I want to assure you that we are taking the necessary precautions to keep you safe. To that end, we have developed a COVID-19 preparedness and response plan consistent with recommendations from the Guidance on Preparing Workplaces for COVID-19, developed by the Occupational Health and Safety Administration.
Clinic Infection-Control Practices
- Each appointment will be scheduled in a staggered manner to avoid the presence of multiple persons in the lobby.
- Every room will be thoroughly disinfected before and after each treatment; this includes treatment tables, doorknobs, handles, and any high touch surfaces.
- The lobby will also be sprayed with alcohol in between patients as will the surface of the reception desk.
Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment
- We will wear masks.
- We require that patients wear masks when entering the clinic which can be removed while the patient rests with the acupuncture points.
Additional Practices
- Conduct a daily entry a screening protocol for all patients who enter the clinic that includes a questionnaire covering symptoms and suspected or confirmed exposure to people with possible COVID-19.
- There will be an increase in facility cleaning and disinfection to limit exposure to COVID-19, especially on high-touch surfaces (e.g., door handles), paying special attention to our medical tools.
- Adopt protocols to clean and disinfect the facility in the event of a positive COVID-19 case in the workplace.
- Make hand sanitizer available to patients upon entry and when they leave.
- If I were to develop any symptoms of COVID-19 or a suspected or confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19, she would immediately notify patients via email.
